Seven Morrisons Exeter colleagues, led by store general manager Glen Allen, will be taking the plunge for charity with a 15,000 foot high sky dive on 9th July 2014.

The perilous feat is being undertaken to raise funds for Morrisons charity partner Sue Ryder, to support the provision of end-of-life services, care and support in Devon.

Sandra Mott, Richard Fleming, Nick Stevens, Ben Burton, Leanne Berry and Chrissy Carver will be jumping with the support of Sky Dive UK at Dunkerswell Airfield, Devon on the morning of 9th July 2014. Having collected sponsorships from over 400 people, Morrisons Exeter colleagues are hoping the event will raise over £3,000 for charity.

Store general manager Glen Allen said: “We hope our dare devil sky dive will raise significant funds for Sue Ryder’s vital community care and support in Devon. Thank you to everyone who has made such generous donations so far. We are all pretty nervous but are sure we’ll be in safe hands with Sky Dive UK and thank them for their help in making this happen.”

Morrisons hopes to fundraise £8 million nationwide for its charity partner Sue Ryder over the next three years. The money raised will enable the charity to establish new community services, family support teams and an online support community, providing the best possible care to people at the end of their lives and support for their families.
