Following their summer break, Forever Young Sing for Fun return on Monday 9 September.

We are looking for new singers who want to join an alternative to a choir.

Since January 2007, Forever Young have met on most Monday evenings, from 7-9pm, at St Sidwell’s School, York Road, Exeter. In two hours we sing around 30 songs, chosen by singers, from a list of over 500 songs. With the words projected on the wall we sing to beautiful backing music from the best singers including Abba, Adele, Pavarotti, Dusty Spingfield etc. etc. (Please visit the website for more details) http://singforfun.yolasite.com

With the recent Exeter research about singing and snoring – why not try Exeter’s unique alternative to a choir?

We do not rehearse, there are no public concerts, you don’t need to read music and there are no auditions.

At £3.50 for a 2-hour session, the cost is the same as it was seven years ago! There are few (if any?) places in Exeter where you can join in with other like-minded friendly adults and sing around 30 songs that could include George Formby and George Michael. If Caro Emerald and Carole King sing the type of songs you like - then we’re for you.

To find out about this informal singing group come along on Monday 9 September or email: for.everyoung@hotmail.co.uk
