Exeter Dementia Action Alliance (EDAA) have joined forces for a second time to create their 2021 ‘Shining A Light On Dementia’ desk calendar, illustrated by the Cartoonist Tony Husband.

Gina Awad, EDAA Lead said “our 2019 calendar was such a success we decided to create another due to popular demand. It’s been such a tough year for everyone and in these times it is so important to raise awareness of how the condition impacts the person living with dementia and those caring for them. We hope our calendar can achieve this with a smile and a tear. It’s been so refreshing working alongside Tony over the past 3 months to bring the calendar to life and have it ready to share.

Tony Husband, renowned Cartoonist for Private Eye spanning 35 years and author of Take Care Son, My Dad living with Dementia, has collaborated on several projects with EDAA and this is one of the latest.

A recipient said “the illustrations are so well observed, a brilliant mixture of the funny and really poignant”.

Calendars are available for £7 plus p&p or free delivery within a 5 mile radius of Exeter. To snap up yours please email exeterdaa@outlook.com with your address and how many you require and they’ll do the rest.

The alliance expressed their sincere gratitude to the sponsors for their continued support.
