On Friday 22nd August at exactly 9:59am, Danish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene will open the doors to its very first Devon store in Exeter’s city centre. Located in Paternoster House on Fore Street, the new shop promises a calm, inviting experience filled with timeless Scandinavian charm.

Known for its beautifully curated homewares, affordable furniture, creative crafts, and lifestyle products, Søstrene Grene’s Exeter store will mark the brand’s next step in expanding its presence across the South West and the UK. This new branch adds to the more than 340 stores already open worldwide.

To celebrate the launch, Søstrene Grene is giving a warm welcome to its first 100 customers — each will receive a voucher for a rug worth over £60, along with a canvas tote bag filled with gifts. Live classical music and ballerina performances will add a touch of magic to the day, creating a unique shopping experience unlike any other on the high street.

Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner, shared his excitement: “Exeter is a vibrant, culturally rich city, and we’re delighted to bring our universe of hygge and elegant design here.”

Norma Jacob, one of the UK partners, added: “We want the Exeter store to be a space where people can pause and feel inspired. We hope it becomes a go-to destination for thoughtful gifts and beautiful living.”

Richard Power echoed the sentiment: “This launch is truly special. Exeter's historic charm is the perfect setting for Søstrene Grene’s modern yet timeless aesthetic.”
