Rusty Pig’s mobile feasting wagons scored a major success at this year’s Tar Barrels in Ottery.

The two wagons, based in Mill Street during the revels, raised a total of £2015 for the Ottery St Mary Carnival Committee.

Rusty Pig owner, Robin Rea said: “We knew this would be a busy year as Tar Barrels fell on a Saturday – the town was heaving.

“Having two wagons instead of the single one we had last year meant we could serve many more revellers than before.”

Dexter burgers and pulled Jamaican pork drew hungry crowds all night. Meanwhile, the Rusty Pig restaurant played host to a special dinner, with upstairs diners enjoying the best view in the house as the Yonder Street barrels flamed spectacularly.
