Exeter Cathedral has created a very special baby book for the people of Devon to sign to congratulate Their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, on the safe arrival of their baby son.

The baby book is available for people to sign from Tuesday morning, in an area just inside the Cathedral, from 9am to 4.45pm every day for the next two weeks. Once it has been signed, it will be bound in burgundy leather and will then be sent as an offering from Exeter Cathedral and the county of Devon to the Royal couple.

The book has been created for the Cathedral by Exeter Bookbinders, who also produced last year's Jubilee Book of Thanks from Devon churches to Her Majesty the Queen.

The Dean of Exeter, the Very Revd Jonathan Draper, said: "Like everyone else in the country, we are thrilled for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the safe arrival of their newborn son. We wish them and their family all the very best and pray for the new baby and his parents and ask God's blessing on them. We hope all who can come to the Cathedral will take the opportunity to send their best wishes to the new family."
