Police prevent raves in Devon

Devon and Cornwall Police have been running 'Op Derig' an operation to prevent Rave activity in the area over the Easter weekend.

Officers successfully prevented two raves occurring overnight on Saturday 19th April in the Fernworthy Reservoir and Woodbury Common areas.

In a recent statement, Police confirmed sound equipment had been seized with follow up investigations now being conducted. The operation will continue over the weekend.

Ins Steve Bradford said:

“Officers reacted quickly to information from members of the public to deal with two Raves in the processes of being set up ensuring sound equipment was seized and persons requested to leave the area."
