Police appeal after man dies in crash on A38 Haldon Hill

A 54-year-old man has died as a result of a serious collision on the A38 at Haldon Hill on Sunday 8 October 2017.

Police were called at around 12.49pm to reports of a serious single-car collision between a car and a tree on the Plymouth-bound carriageway.

Emergency services attended the scene on the A38 on the Westbound carriageway. The collision involved a white Ford Fiesta car containing the male driver who was the sole occupant.

The driver, who was from Bovey Tracey, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and the coroner notified.

Both lanes of the A38 were closed whilst collision investigators examined the scene.
