The new seafront hotel for Exmouth, Premier Inn, has started recruiting for staff and is looking for local people to fill the equivalent of 23 posts following the successful recruitment of a manager and assistant manager.

Following the sale of the former Elizabeth Hall to Whitbread plc as part of the regeneration of Exmouth seafront the 60-bed hotel is being built and will open on 2 March 2015.

The hotel is looking for chefs, reception and housekeeping staff. Premier Inn offer three weeks’ paid training prior to the hotel opening. All pay will exceed the national minimum wage and provide additional benefits.

Anyone interested should visit http://www.jobsearch.direct.gov.uk/ or contact Job Centre Plus. Applications must be made online.

Cllr Andrew Moulding, deputy leader of East Devon District Council and chair of Exmouth Regeneration Programme Board, said: "This is excellent news for Exmouth and is a clear example of successful regeneration practice.

"Premier Inn will become a great asset to the town providing an alternative accommodation offer attracting business and leisure visitors. These, in turn, will be spending money and boosting the tourism economy. I wish all those applying for the jobs good luck and look forward to the hotel staff becoming ambassadors for Exmouth.”

Carly Wintle, New Openings Manager for Premier Inn, said: “We are pleased to announce that our Exmouth Premier Inn is now recruiting for a variety of year-round jobs. Premier Inn is an excellent employer, offering strong long-term prospects and the opportunity to climb the career ladder with a leading FTSE 100 company.

“Our team members pride themselves on consistently providing the best possible service for our customers. We look forward to receiving applications from anyone keen to be part of our new team here in Exmouth.”

The demolition of the former Elizabeth Hall and building of Premier Inn is a key part of the Exmouth vision to establish the resort as an attractive 21st century destination for residents, businesses and visitors.
