Muddifords Cheese five-mile Fun Run this week

Sunday 8th October will see the much anticipated Muddifords Cheese five-mile Fun Run take place.

Over the past three months Muddifords Court Country House, owned by Nicky Baker have been eagerly creating a family fun day for all, in aid of dementia awareness.

Nicky has been directly affected by dementia with both her parents living and lived with the disease. Nicky was keen to support the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance in her quest to reduce the stigma and increase wider awareness in the community and beyond in whichever way she can.

170 will be participating in Sunday’s 5 mile Fun Run which can also be walked. There are a number  of organisations taking part including; care homes, law firms, health and social care professionals, the general public, families and those generally touched by dementia.

Wyke Farm are the headline sponsor and other supportive sponsors include; Ashfords Solicitors in Tiverton.

The day begins at 10am and the finish line will see the entertainment take place between 12-3pm comprising live music by Las Torders, eats, an open bar, raffle, auction, bouncy castle and face painting set in a the beautiful setting of Muddifords Court. 

Gina Awad from the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance says “this is guaranteed to be a memorable event and one that first and foremost will bring dementia into the spotlight which is where it truly belongs. We are sincerely grateful to Nicky and her wonderful team for supporting us in this way, it it’s the first big event for us and we look forward to reporting back on the day following the event later this month”.
