Man arrested in connection with shed theft

Police have arrested a suspect following a public appeal.

Spencer Bamping aged 41 was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft today (5 December).

Bamping from Chudleigh Knighton, Newton Abbot surrendered himself into police custody.

He has since been charged with burglary and theft of a shed and remains in custody to appear before South Devon Magistrates tomorrow morning.

Police had sought the public’s help in finding him in connection with the theft of a shed in Newton Abbot in October.
