WOMEN who work at The Magdalen Chapter in Exeter will going ‘Bear Faced’ for the day in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Staff at the city centre hotel will be ditching their make-up on Friday 8th November to raise money for the national appeal.

The Exeter women will be joining TV favorites such as Alex Jones (pictured) and Arlene Phillips, actress Sheridan Smith plus many more high profile celebrities who have also pledged to have a day without makeup.

Spa Manager Charlotte Channing, from The Magdalen Chapter, said this undertaking would be harder for some women than others.

She said: “Naturally there are some women who feel more comfortable going out without make-up. However for others, the thought of leaving the house without undergoing their morning make-up routine fills them with dread.  We have some staff members here who spend up to 45 every day doing their make up and they never leave the house without it.  For people like that, Bear Faced Day will be something quite big.”

Meanwhile the hotel is also offering a Bear Faced REN Facial in its spa from November 4 until November 10. A total of £5 per facial will then be donated to BBC Children In Need.

Charlotte said:  “If you are thinking of taking part in Bear Faced Day, you may like to make sure your skin is in tip top condition.  That is why are offering this 30-minute REN facial from November 4 until November 10. From every facial, we will then donate £5 to Children in Need.”
