Dartmoor National Park Authority has recruited local Olympian and Team GB Pistol Shooter, Georgina (Gorgs) Geikie, as a Dartmoor Ambassador, with a remit to promote the National Park as an activity destination.

As part of her role Gorgs has just finished filming A Dartmoor Adventure. This new film promotes outdoor recreation as part of a healthy lifestyle and showcases the variety of outdoor recreational opportunities that can be enjoyed on Dartmoor.

This inspirational film shows how people with a basic fitness level can make the most of what Dartmoor has to offer but also has some advice for those wishing to tackle more challenging pursuits.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of the National Park, Gorgs tries her hand at geocaching, running, cycling and horse riding - with each of the activities starting from one of the National Park Visitor Centres at Haytor, Postbridge and Princetown.

If you are looking for inspiration to get active, or to try a new sport and want to explore Dartmoor's exciting recreational opportunities, call into the National Park Visitor Centre, Princetown to see the film and have a look around the Active Summer exhibition (on until 25 September 2013).
