Local 'experts' guide for Exeter
An indispensable guide to exceptional customer service in the Exeter area will be landing on the doormats of more than 40,000 city homes over the next few days.
This week sees the launch of the fifth edition of Our Local Expert’s Exeter guide, featuring nearly 200 local businesses with one thing in common – they have all been recommended by members of the public.
And with more than 100 recommendations, no business has received more positive feedback than A-Plan Electrical.
“A-Plan is typical of the businesses which feature in the guide,” explained publisher Nick Hall. “I’ve been inundated with positive feedback for them from scores of different sources and it’s clear anyone who uses the company can be confident of receiving service of the highest order.
“The public deserve to get their job done right, first time, at a fair price,” said father-of-four Nick from Sidmouth.
“And if they use the businesses and tradespeople listed in Our Local Expert that’s exactly what they’ll get.”
Nick only produced his first Our Local Expert guide seven years ago, since when its popularity with businesses striving to earn a mention as well as those turning to its pages for recommendations has rocketed.
“Of course, there are other not-dissimilar guides out there but the thing about Our Local Expert is that itʼs put together by someone who lives in the area it serves and, moreover, is passionate about providing a resource for residents of that area by identifying local businesses and tradespeople who routinely go the extra mile,” explained Nick.
Exeter resident Amanda Leach is one of many who swears by ‘the little orange book’. “It’s a godsend” said Amanda, 35, from Alphington. “I keep it by the phone throughout the year and have lost track of the number of
times it has come in useful.”
The publicʼs enthusiasm for the guide is mirrored by many of those whose businesses feature in it and readily acknowledge that, in difficult economic times, it has provided them with a welcome shot in the arm.
“Customers have confidence when they are using tradespeople who feature in the Our Local Expert guide, because all the businesses have been recommended,” said A-Plan Electrical's proprietor Simon Collas.
“What’s more, I find that people hang on to the guide and keep it by their phones throughout the year because it so useful.”
The Exeter edition of Our Local Expert is being delivered by the Royal Mail between July 21 and August 1.
Anyone who fails to receive a copy should contact Nick on 01392 340304 and he will happily put one in the post.
