Police in Newton Abbot are appealing for information following a burglary in Kingskerswell where a sentimental watch was stolen.

The burglary occurred sometime between Thursday 2nd April and Saturday 4th April at a property in Park Road, Kingskerswell.

Entry was gained by smashing a conservatory window, and once inside and following a search a number of jewellery items were stolen including rings and watches.

Amongst the items stolen was a rose gold pocket watch, (similar pictured) which had a ‘T’ bar chain attached to it.

The watch was of particular sentimental value, as the victim’s grandfather had carried it with him throughout the Second World War.

Anyone who has been offered this watch or other jewellery items for purchase or has any information regarding the burglary is asked to contact police on 101 quoting police reference CR/23029/15 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or report online at www.Crimestoppers-uk.org
