Ironbridge Runner owner Pete Ferlie and his team are well known for promoting fun and innovative running events, with the latest promotion being their very popular annual Exeter Half Marathon on Sunday 16 February 2014 and which sold out its 350 available places weeks beforehand.

Flooding permitting (an alternative course is ready to be used if necessary) the race is held over a great 3 lap traffic free and pancake flat half course on footpaths and cycle tracks around the River Exe and Exeter Canal.  The event is suitable for people chasing personal bests as well as for novice runners and at this time of year is timed as being ideal preparation for the Spring marathons that are the target of many runners.

Full details of the race can be found on the Ironbridge Runner Events website at www.ironbridgerunnerevents.co.uk/exeterhalf

As a long-time provider of products to Ironbridge Runner, distributors Ed & Phil Active are pleased to support the Exeter Half Marathon with Wigwam socks as prizes at the race.

Ed & Phil partner, Phillip Howells, himself a running coach and very experienced runner with 160 marathons to his name, will be competing in the race and will also be in the Exeter shop from 10.30am to 3.30pm on the Saturday to discuss any running related topic with customers who call in on the day and may be looking for some last minute advice on the race. There are additional incentives to call in with special offers on Wigwam socks for both existing and new customers.

Long established as one of Devon’s leading running shops, Ironbridge Runner can be found at 15 Bartholomew Street East, Exeter, where a professional, informed and friendly welcome awaits all customers.
