Improved toilets for Princesshay

Princesshay has announced a planned refurbishment of its toilets.

The Princesshay toilets in Catherine Square will be temporarily closed for refurbishment from 28th January 2019. Alternative facilities will be available for customers close by in Catherine Street.

Princesshay also provides the only Changing Places toilet in the city centre, providing facilities with extra equipment and space to meet the needs of all people with a disability. As part of the refurbishment, these toilets will also be upgraded to meet the latest Changing Places standards. The disabled toilets in St Stephen’s House will also undergo refurbishment, temporarily closing for a short period from early March. There will be temporary disabled facilities supplied during this closure.

A new, purpose-built parent and baby facility, located in St Stephen’s House, will be created as part of the works and will comprise a changing station and washing facilities.

Wayne Pearce, Princesshay Centre Director, says, “These extensive refurbishments have been planned for some time as part of our commitment to maintaining high standards for all of our visitors. The newly refurbished facilities, as well as the additional facilities for parents, will be a welcome addition for the city centre.”

The refurbished toilets and additional facilities will open at the end of April 2019.
