Fire crews tackle Beacon Heath blaze
Fire crews from Exeter were called to tackled a blaze at Galahad Close in the Beacon Heath area of the city this morning, after a report of alarms sounding and smoke issuing from a building.
On arrival, just before 1am, crews found a fire involving a chip pan in the kitchen of a flat.
One hose reel jet and a fire blanket were used to extinguish the fire.
Crews rescued one occupant from the flat, extinguished the fire and ventilated the property.
