Father Christmas to reopen pool and cafe at Cofton Country Holidays

Devon’s favourite multi-award-winning holiday park, Cofton Country Holidays near Starcross and Dawlish, is readying itself for the much anticipated reopening of its heated indoor Ashburn Springs Pool on Saturday 19th December.

Following over a month of renovations undertaken in readiness for the busy Christmas school holidays, the family friendly pool, steam room, sauna, soft play area and Amelia’s Café will be reopened by no less than Santa himself, who will be giving away free children’s presents from 11am-4pm on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th.

As an added bonus anyone spending £10 or more in a single transaction will receive a free Cofton Christmas lucky dip prize, where they could win anything from a carvery ticket to a family swim pass or a meal for four people.

Commenting on the reopening Helen Scott, Director at Cofton, said: “Christmas is the season for spending time together and having fun.  We wanted to celebrate this with a ‘Welcome Back Weekend’ for families across Devon who’ve been waiting in great anticipation for the pool and our indoor facilities to reopen. 

“Visitors love the pool, which has a cushioned floor, making it perfect for people of all ages.  Children adore the splash pad area and mums, dads and grandparents love the hydrotherapy bubble loungers, sauna and steam room.

“Added to our soft play area for the little ones, we believe we have ‘seasonal’ something for everyone including lovely food and drink from Amelia’s Café, which overlooks the pool and play area. 

“Having been closed for over a month we’re looking forward to seeing many new and familiar faces and can’t wait to see the smiles on children’s faces as they realise they are going to see Father Christmas and get a free present.”

Ashburn Springs Pool will be open from 19th December throughout the Christmas holidays, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.  The pool opens at 8am and closes at 8pm.
