Exeter spa owner takes educational trip to The Gambia

Purity Boutique Spa owner Mariam has recently returned from an educational trip to The Gambia.

Mariam took her 8 year-old son, James to the African country to teach him about other cultures and the differences between life in Africa and the UK.

During their visit, Mariam and James visited local families in their compounds, where they made a donation enabling one particular family to install electricity in their home.

Mariam also spent time pampering some of the local women by giving them manicures. Purity has recently changed nail vanish brand and Mariam took all of her old stock to The Gambia where she left the bottles as a gift.

Mariam said “It was so lovely to treat the Gambian ladies to a manicure. Their hands get worn down a lot through manual work so it was nice to make them feel special.”
