Staff from Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes sites across the Exeter area took time to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.

A mixture of staff from development sites all took part in gathering for a moment’s silence, as well as colleagues from the main offices in Exeter.

Special flags bearing poppies and the words ‘Lest we forget’ were installed as a sign of respect, in honour of the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community, veterans and civilians involved in conflicts past and present.

Signage at the sites were also updated with images of poppies, as an acknowledgment of the annual British Legion campaign.

Managing Director Huw Llewellyn said: “It is important for us to uphold our national tradition to honour all those who have fought in our names, from decades past and those who still serve today.

“The 2019 Remembrance theme is ‘Remember Together’. We have a number of ex-service personnel working in various roles across Barratt and David Wilson Homes, and we wanted to come together as an organisation to make a small gesture of thanks for their dedicated service and to remember their colleagues.”
