The arrival of summer will be celebrated at McCarthy and Stone’s Pinnoc MewsRetirement Living development in Exeter on Friday 28th June, when local retirees are invited to join homeowners and their guests for a floristry demonstration led by Jacqui Hayward from the British Academy of Floral Art.

From 11.30am to 2pm, all those who visit the development on Bakers Way in Pinhoe will have the opportunity to watch the visiting expert share their passion for all things floral by demonstrating a series of arrangements.  At the end of the event, six bouquets will be raffled off, with the proceeds going to McCarthy and Stone’s charity of the year, Coram Beanstalk, which aims to improve reading ability and confidence among young children.

Ciara Hilley, Divisional Marketing Manager for McCarthy and Stone, said: “With everyone at Pinnoc Mews enjoying the arrival of summer, it will be great to get everyone together for a seasonal celebration – just as the gardens at development are coming into full bloom.  Booking for our floristry demonstration is essential, but we do hope local people will join us for what promises to be a very enjoyable event – with the opportunity to pick up some expert tips from Jacqui Hayward and to help to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.”

Comprising a selection of 39 one and two bedroom Retirement Living apartments, exclusively designed for people aged 60 and over, Pinnoc Mews provides everything homeowners could want for a relaxing retirement.

The shared lounge is perfect for socialising with new neighbours, and homeowners can make the most of beautiful landscaped gardens knowing all the maintenance is taken care of.  Selected apartments also include a patio or balcony so homeowners can enjoy the outdoors from their own privately-owned property.

A House Manager takes care of the day-to-day running of the development and there is a secure entrance system and 24 hour emergency call system for added peace-of-mind.

The village feel of Pinhoe combined with the amenities of Exeter make it an excellent place for retirees to downsize to, with its thriving community and proximity to the countryside.

Prices at Pinnoc Mews currently range from £219,000 for a one bedroom apartment and from £289,000 for a two bedroom apartment.

More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years’ running.  McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade, which is every year the awards have been run.
