Emergency services attend A381 crash

Firefighters, ambulance personnel and the police were called to a an accident involving one vehicle earlier yesterday ( Sunday 27th April).

Two fire appliances from Newton Abbot and the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Middlemoor were sent to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A381 near to Ware Barton near to Newton Abbot at 2.25pm.

Reports stated that the vehicle had left the highway and travelled down an embankment.

Upon arrival fire crews used two sets of hydraulic cutting equipment and stabilisation equipment to release a casualty with suspected neck and back injuries.

The collision resulted in the Teignmouth Road in Kingsteignton being closed for a while.
