Brixington Primary School in Exmouth is seeking a new governor to join its committed team and help shape the future of the school.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a local business person who is prepared to invest their time and experience on a voluntary basis.

The governing body is responsible for working with the school to ensure that it delivers a good quality education to all its pupils. As well as taking a strategic overview the governing body is also responsible for hands on monitoring and evaluating to ensure continued improvement to the standard of education and pupil experience.

The school requires a governor with experience in finance or accounting and/or running their own business to complement the skill set of the existing governors. The successful candidate will initially be required to sit on the Resources committee, which has responsibility for setting and monitoring the school budget.
