Devon businesses are being offered a unique opportunity to showcase their products and services at Sandy Park, the home of the Exeter Chiefs.

The day will feature seminars, workshops and 40-plus exhibitors.

Speakers already confirmed include the rugby club’s head coach, Rob Baxter and the founder of The Exeter Daily, Marc Astley.

The aim of the event, called b2b@Sandy Park, is to provide a forum that will help businesses to not only engage with each other but also develop and grow.

Bev Gratton of Sandy Park said: “Although there is a vibrant business community in Devon and lots of different events, we aren’t aware of anything as comprehensive or extensive as this.

“It will be an all-day affair with stands, seminars and plenty of opportunity to mingle and share ideas.”

There will also be a focus on the growth in e-commerce with a special suite dedicated to web based technology, mobile apps and data centres.

And this theme will be developed further by another of the speakers, Ian Creek from Rokk Media, who will talk about setting the right business strategy for your company.

Several packages are available starting at £195 plus VAT but Bev warned they are disappearing fast.

“We  sold 25 per cent of the space in the first week, which seems to confirm the event is hitting the right mark,” she explained.

“What we are offering is something quite different and something that we hope will become a regular fixture in the business calendar.”

Derek Phillips, vice chairman of Exeter Chamber of Commerce, said: “Sandy Park has been a tremendous asset to the business community, not only for Exeter but a much wider area. It is probably the best conference and meeting facilities in the South West.”
