Appeal following dangerous driving incident

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Exeter city centre on Tuesday 20 May.

A black Vauxhall Vectra failed to stop for police and was driven dangerously through the city centre at 11.30am.

The car was driven along the pavement on Western Way, nearly knocking over pedestrians, and damaged a number of other vehicles before the three occupants got out of the car in Magdalen Road.

Three men, aged 27, 36 and 39, from Exeter, were arrested nearby.

The 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and released on police bail until 9 July.

The 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and burglary released on police bail until 8 July.

The 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and released on police bail until 25 June.
