Aldi announces jobs push in Devon

Aldi is recruiting new colleagues in Devon as a result of its continued expansion in the area.

In a welcome boost to the local economy, the UK’s fastest growing supermarket is currently recruiting for at least 40 Store Assistants, ranging from 10 - 30 hours per week.

Aldi is looking to hire for these roles at three stores in the area: Forde Close Store in Newton Abbot, Brixham Road Store in Paignton and the new Kerswell Gardens Store in Torquay, due to open later this year. 

Aldi pays all Store Assistants at least £11.00 an hour nationally and also remains the only supermarket to offer paid breaks.

From 1 July 2023, starting pay for Aldi Store Assistants will increase to £11.40 per hour nationally, from then, paid breaks for the average Aldi store colleague will be worth £927.
