800 presents delivered to local schools
In the run up to Christmas, members of LV=’s Exeter Community team spent the day delivering 800 presents to eight local preschools and primary school around the local area.
Dressed as Father Christmas, Dave Cotton and colleagues visited the schools in traditional grotto fashion, delighting children with early Christmas presents.
Dave Cotton from LV= said: “During the day we travelled over 100 miles and delivered 800 presents, and the best bit was definitely seeing the smiles of surprise and joy on the children’s faces.
“All of the schools were nominated by employees within the Exeter office and it was a great opportunity for us to give something back to the community. We would like to thank all of the schools who allowed us to visit and look forward to carrying out a similar event next year.”
Mandy Richards, Kenton Pre School: “It was fantastic to receive a donation from LV= in the form of presents for the children, and having them visit our school and bring Father Christmas with them was amazing.
“We cannot thank LV= enough for taking the time and effort to make a real difference to children within the local community”.
Children from Chudleigh Pre School, Kenton Pre School, Kenton Primary School, Newton Poppleford Primary School, Duchy School Bradninch, Little Saints Pre-School, Little Dragons and Lady Sewards and Puffins Clyst Heath, were visited by the LV= team.
The visit builds on the LV= school programme which concentrates on schools local to larger LV= offices around the UK.
Last year 58 volunteers from across LV= helped deliver workshops and mock assessment centres to around 780 students.
