A reward of up to £2,000 is being offered through independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers, for information on a robbery that occurred in Dawlish Warren last summer.

Dean Smart, aged 27, is wanted in connection with the robbery which took place at Golden Sands Holiday Park in the early hours of 27 August 2013.

Smart, who is from the Bath area, is considered dangerous, and police believe he is actively evading capture.

The incident, saw four offenders wearing balaclavas forced members of staff to open a safe containing a large quantity of cash.

One member of staff was assaulted and sustained a fractured jaw.
Three other men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are awaiting trial.

The appeal featured on last night’s Crimewatch and the reward is now being offered to try and locate Smart.

Information leading to the location, arrest and conviction of Smart could qualify for the reward of up to £2,000.

A Crimestoppers spokesperson said: “We would urge anyone with information to come forward anonymously, no matter how significant they think it might be. This is a serious incident that has occurred, so please do the right thing and tell us what you know, not who you are.”

Anyone with any information is asked to please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
