Share in the success of the Chiefs and Sandy Park

As one of the major success stories of Westcountry sport and business in recent years, an even brighter future exists for the Exeter Chiefs and their Sandy Park home.

Having positioned themselves as one of the top six clubs in English rugby, as well as establishing themselves as a force within the European game, the time has come for you to now share in the success story of the Chiefs.

At the same time, you can play your part in the future growth of Sandy Park, which since its construction in 2006 has established itself as one of the leading conferencing and banqueting facilities in the region, as well as being named as one of only 12 venues for the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

Such progression is key to the success of both the Rugby Club and the Sandy Park business – and that is why Exeter Rugby Group have today launched the new Exeter Chiefs 2020 Bond.

The aim of the newly-created Exeter Chiefs 2020 Bond, which will be available to anyone who expresses an interest, is to help raise the required £7.5m needed for the next phase of Exeter Rugby Group’s long-term development plan for Sandy Park.

The planned development works will see the expansion of the Sandy Park Conference Centre to include a new 1,000+ delegate facility, together with the extension of the West Grandstand and increased car parking facilities.

An overview of the Bond reveals:

·         7%pa gross fixed interest rate, paid bi-annually in two equal instalments
·         Seven-Year term with maturity in 2020
·         Cannot be transferred or redeemed early
·         Open to subscriptions between £1,000 & £4,000,000
·         Certain bondholder benefits for subscriptions over £100,000

Commenting on the launch of the new bond, Tony Rowe OBE, Chairman & Chief Executive of Exeter Rugby Group, said: “Sandy Park is a great asset for the South West and Premiership Rugby, being a leading regional conference centre and a 2015 Rugby World Cup host stadium.

“We are very proud of what has been achieved on and off the pitch at Sandy Park over recent years and it has been a testament to all those involved at the club – members, employees, supporters and sponsors.

“As we enter the next stage of the group’s development, we hope the release of the Exeter Chiefs 2020 Bond will provide the necessary funds to enlarge and improve the facilities at Sandy Park.”

He added: “Our aim remains to make Sandy Park the leading sporting, conferencing and banqueting facility in the region.”
