Winter story time at Crealy

Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park is pleased to announce the launch of Winter Story Time with Devon Libraries on Wednesday 21st January 2015.

Guests are invited to join Buddy Bear and story tellers from Exeter Library at Mamma Mia’s Restaurant at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park from 10am – 1pm for winter story time and snow themed arts and crafts sessions.

Chris Down, managing director for Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park said: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with Devon Libraries and created Winter Stories and Snow Craft sessions. Buddy Bear can’t wait to join in the story time fun with the story tellers from Exeter Library. We are really looking forward to our younger guests participating and enjoying this fantastic offering.”

Buddy Bear will also be joining Bounce and Rhyme sessions at Exeter Library in January and February. Bounce and Rhyme encourages pre-school children to sing songs and rhymes with accompanying actions. The sessions are both lively and stimulating for babies, toddlers, parents, carers and grandparents alike.

Karen Leach-Bowdler from Exeter Library said: “It is a pleasure to be in partnership with Crealy and as a library service we are passionate about reaching into the community to promote reading from a very early age. We are very much looking forward to being able to do this with Winter Stories and Snow Crafts on Wednesday 21st January at Crealy and working with all the team.”

The family run park has something to make parents and grandparents smile too, the fabulous new weekday entry fee is just £4.95 and little ones under 92cm visit absolutely free. Guests can also enjoy an all you can eat experience for just £5.00 for adults and £2.50 for children, perfect for fuelling those exciting adventures.

Guests are invited to explore the indoor offering at Devon’s Crealy after Winter Story Time. Three of the five rides at the Park were new in 2014 and are all under one roof in the underwater-themed Lost World of Atlantis. Under-fives will love the new Super Subs ride featuring bright and colourful submarines. Neptune welcomes families of all ages to a new teacup style ride Neptune’s Seacups, where six carriages provide a whirling, swirling, spinning experience, with 360° views of the awe-inspiring underwater world.

Intricate seascapes cover the interior of the heated play area, where children can imagine themselves in a world of exotic fish, jellyfish, seals, turtles and dolphins. Seating areas are plentiful in the new play area where grown-ups can sit back while enjoying refreshments from the Atlantis Ocean Cove Café and relax while little ones play happily in sight.

Guests can discover an empire of slides and aerial walkways with climbing nets and rope swings at lofty heights in the Adventure Zone. There is fun for the whole family with twisting and bumpy slides and the nail biting triple drop slide.

The Animal Kingdom is home to some of Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park’s cutest friends. There are opportunities to meet the ponies, donkeys and guinea pigs. Feed chickens and cheeky goats in the Pets Corner and groom miniature ponies. Explore a world of extraordinary
creepy crawlies in the new Bugz Unlimited, getting up close to the hissing cockroaches and giant land snails and watch the leaf cutter ant display in amazement.

Guests that live for the weekends will not be disappointed; Buddy Bear and his friends will open over 40 rides and attractions (except water rides) throughout the Park each Saturday and Sunday until 14th February 2015.
