The Zoo That Comes To You at Exeter Fringe Festival

A joyous puppet show inviting people of all ages to join the conversation about animal conservation.

After what has been a strange year for education and the arts industry, Jasmine Orchard and Lucia d’Inverno are as determined as ever to use theatre to educate and entertain. Combining their experience as professional performers with their work as mentors and facilitators of young people, this company designs their work to be engaging and accessible to children and their grownups. Scarlet Oak Theatre are bringing their new show to The Exeter Phoenix as part of Exeter Fringe Festival on Sunday 17th October.

The Zoo That Comes To You features puppetry, live music and two comical animal enthusiasts. They take in animals that need respite, care or a temporary home and have accidentally ended up with a sanctuary full of animals. However, no-one has come to visit their zoo! So everybody - animals and humans alike - have decided it is time to get out, see the world, and bring the zoo, to you!

Come and meet this eclectic group of charming yet cheeky animals, as they discuss their life experiences and the challenges they face. These chatty animals have a lot of stories to tell and want to inspire people of all ages to take action, because they know small actions can make a big difference in the world.

Sunday 17thth October, 12pm at the Exeter Phoenix. Age guidance 4+. Adults £12 Conc £10.50
