Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is delighted that ITV Westcountry reporter, Seth Conway, is going to be running Exeter’s Great West Run on behalf of the local children’s charity in October.

Seth ran his first marathon last year in Barnstaple, for which he also chose to run for CHSW. This year, as the official local charity for the Great West Run, he is pleased to continue his support for the charity and said: ‘Children’s Hospice South West is such an important charity for the local community, offering help and support to families all across the region.

‘I’m delighted to be able to once again wear my CHSW green running vest to represent a great cause and I’m hoping that I can not only help to raise funds, but also raise awareness of this amazing charity.’

Seth is using GWR as training for his London Marathon bid next year and is looking forward to the challenge. Emma Perry, Head of Community Fundraising at CHSW’s Little Bridge House hospice in Barnstaple said: ‘We are thrilled to have Seth running as part of the CHSW team. It’s so inspiring when runners choose to support us, and we’d love to see as many CHSW running shirts on the day as possible!’

If you would like to run the Great West Run for CHSW, you can choose to sign up for a free charity place, for which CHSW hopes runners will raise a £100 sponsorship, or you can secure your own place with the event organisers and fundraise for CHSW separately. The Great West Run takes place on 18 October and is 13.1 miles in and around Exeter, taking in the city’s streets as well as the nearby countryside.

All CHSW runners will be provided with an exclusive running vest and fundraising pack. If you would like to find out more about how you can support CHSW by running for us, see http://www.chsw.org.uk/great-west-run
