Dunelm, the UK’s largest homewares retailer, has spread festive joy to the Exeter community after hosting an exciting event at its much-loved Pausa Café earlier this week.

The invite-only event saw Dunelm’s deserving charity partners not only gather in the store’s Pausa Café to be amongst the first to try the all-new festive Christmas menu, but to also be treated to an evening of festive entertainment from a variety of special guests.

Attendees enjoyed an intimate performance from Exeter-based choir who sang everyone’s festive favourites, followed by a game of Christmas bingo where guests played to win a range of lovely, Dunelm products.

With the event taking place in Dunelm’s Pause café, it would be rude not give guests one of the first tastings of their delicious new festive menu too.

The dedicated Dunelm café team whipped up a scrumptious feast featuring everything from savoury delights to sweet treats – with Ham Hock and Oak Smoked Cheddar Toastie  and decandent Black Forest Roulade being firm favourites amongst the guests.

Guests to the event were selected to join the party as a thank you for helping Dunelm to execute their heart-warming "Delivering Joy" initiative and included representatives from Chat, Vranch House and Baby Bank.

Dunelm’s Delivering Joy campaign, which is now in its fourth year, aims to bring joy and gifts to those in the local community that would have otherwise gone without at Christmas – something that Dunelm’s charity guests have all benefited from first hand.

As well as local charities, residents from local care home Saint Hill were also in attendance as were several lucky followers of Dunelm Exeter Facebook community group who won tickets to the event in an online giveaway.

Ed Bishop, Store Coach at Exeter Dunelm, added: "We are thrilled to have been able to bring the spirit of the season to our Pausa Café and to have welcomed so many special visitors to our store.

Christmas is all about spreading Joy and we loved being able to create memorable moments for well-deserving people in our local community."

As an extra token of appreciation, all guests were also treated to exclusive Dunelm goody bags filled with both yummy treats from the Pausa café to take away and enjoy at home.

The Pausa café at Oxford is open 7 day a week to keep guests  fuelled for festive shopping!
