Bad language and festive jumpers round off a year of fundraising for RGB

RGB Building Supplies is delighted to announce the success of its 2023 fundraising campaign in support of Children's Hospice South West (CHSW). The company has raised over £3,000 through various initiatives, culminating in a festive jumper day on Monday 18th December, and the introduction of swear boxes across all RGB branches.

Throughout the year, RGB engaged in a range of fundraising activities, from company-wide initiatives to individual challenges undertaken by dedicated staff members. The commitment and enthusiasm of the RGB team and the support of customers allowed the builders merchant to contribute significantly to the incredible work done by the hospice.

To round off the 2023 fundraising, staff at the Exeter branch took part in the festive jumper day, when team members donned their most festive and creative jumpers to bring a touch of Christmas cheer. 

To boost fundraising, the branch installed a swear box at the beginning of December and has been encouraging customers and staff to donate when bad language is used, giving everyone the unique opportunity to swear for a good cause. The light-hearted initiative not only raised funds but also added an element of fun to the fundraising drive.

Paul West, branch manager at RGB in Exeter, commented: "We are thrilled to see the incredible support from our customers and staff throughout the year. The funds raised will make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families supported by Children’s Hospice South West. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated in our initiatives and made generous donations."

Children’s Hospice South West, the chosen charity for RGB Building Supplies, provides vital care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. The charity operates three hospices across the South West, offering respite and end-of-life care, as well as a range of practical and emotional support services.

RGB is committed to continuing its support for Children’s Hospice South West in 2024 and has further fundraising initiatives planned.
