Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appointed Rob Bosworth as a board director.  As deputy CEO and vice principal at Exeter College Rob brings a valuable perspective from the education sector, key to driving forward the local economy.

Rob said: “Developing relationships with the business community is essential to ensure the curriculum provision we offer has a clear line of sight to industry and the world of work. I am excited to share my experience with the Chamber – the education and skills landscape is transforming rapidly. It’s important for the economy that the bond between business and education is seamless, to help young people realise their ambitions and adults to have the skills they need to thrive in a changing world.”

As well as being a leader at the renowned Exeter College, Rob is also chair of the Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust which runs schools in Exeter and Plymouth. He is also an honorary member of the City & Guilds London Institute, a director at Exeter City Futures and a director of the South West Institute of Technology.

Clodagh Murphy, chair, Exeter Chamber said: “We’re delighted to welcome Rob to our team. His deep understanding of the education sector in the region will add further strength to the Chamber as we continue to evolve. Young people are central to the growth of Greater Exeter’s business landscape, so this link is both vital and exciting.”
