Small to medium-sized (SME) manufacturers in Devon are being encouraged to have their say on trading beyond Brexit as part of the latest Manufacturing Barometer.

Organised by SWMAS (The South West Manufacturing Advisory Service) and the Manufacturing Growth Programme (MGP), the country’s largest survey of its kind is looking to find out how companies are coping with the early months of life after leaving the EU and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rural communities in mid Devon and west Somerset have received a huge boost to their broadband, thanks to Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) in partnership with Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Exeter based broadband provider Technological. CARDIFF-based aluminium fabricator, Dudley’s Aluminium, has started work on a new project to benefit communities in the south west of England.

Dudley’s Aluminium is currently working with Kier on the development of a new bus station in Exeter. The project, valued at £360,000, is part of a much larger regeneration scheme in the city.
