The Local Government Association is urging new ministers to rethink the Pay to Stay policy which will require councils to charge some of their tenants higher rents from April 2017.

Council flats to benefit from colourful community artwork

Tenants living in one of East Devon District Council’s block of flats in Cheshire Road, Exmouth will now be greeted by a colourful mural, which has been mounted on the wall of the communal entrance.

On Friday (22 July), local councillors, tenants and housing professionals came together to celebrate the official completion of The Guinness Partnership’s latest homes in Topsham, Exeter. Devon residents are being encouraged to apply for a grant that will help them get central heating installed in their homes.

It may still be the summer months but people are urged to apply before the scheme closes at the end of August.

Buyer interest is high in The Point, Exmouth as the building frame reaches the halfway stage.
