Disruption to flights to and from France

Industrial action affecting French air traffic control services may result in disruption to flights departing from and arriving at Exeter Airport until Friday 14 June.

Other European destinations may also be affected.

Passengers are advised to confirm travel details with their airline.

Devon County Council supports new safety card for motorcyclists

Devon County Council's road safety team is supporting a new scheme which could help save the lives of motorcyclists if they are involved in a road traffic collision.

The Motorcycle CRASH Card is an initiative created by the Ambulance Motorcycle Club, a group of experienced paramedics and ambulance staff who are passionate about motorcycling. The scheme encourages motorcyclists to carry cards containing vital life-saving information in the event of an incident.

Foreign and Commonwealth Office issue travel warning for Turkey

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has issued an advice notice for those intending to travel to Turkey: "Following recent demonstrations in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Adana and other cities across Turkey in which police have used tear gas and water cannons, further violent protests remain possible. Funding has allowed National Trust rangers to replace a badly worn out flight of steps at the pretty village of Bucks Mills on the North Devon coast.
