Aviation Minister Robert Goodwill has welcomed the new domestic routes that will start in 2016 from Newquay and Exeter airports.

The Chancellor announced in last week’s Spending Review that 11 successful bidders across the UK had been awarded support from the UK Government’s Regional Air Connectivity Fund. The new flights will offer fast journey times to Leeds-Bradford and Norwich.

More than 40 guests including the Mayor of Exmouth and county and district councillors joined Stagecoach at Darts Farm last week to celebrate the launch of the Exmouth Gold route 57 service.

From Monday 23 November, Stagecoach’s flagship brand will run seven days a week, up to every 15 minutes at peak times to and from Exeter and Exmouth, connecting with Topsham, Lympstone and Brixington along the route.

Every year, thousands of people travel from around the world to drive down America's renowned Route 66. Starting in Chicago and ending in Los Angeles, the route has great historical and cultural significance for Americans making it a must do journey for many bucket-listers and travellers. Now Jurys Inn have created their own version across the UK and Ireland to enjoy: Route 57.
