Blue Chip Holidays has announced that 2015 has been its best year of trading to date, with the number of guests up by over 17.6% and revenues up an additional £2.15 million by 14.5% from £15.2 million in 2014. The Devon based UK holiday operator has also started 2016 in its strongest position in its 14-year history with forward bookings for guests arriving in 2016 up by 26.9% and revenues up by 28.8% year on year. Gastropubs along the Avocet Line from Exeter to Exmouth are offering discounts to diners who travel there by train. Rail passengers can get 10% off their food bill at selected pubs when they show the train ticket for their journey. The discounts will run until the end of March, excluding Valentine’s weekend, 13th and 14th February, and Easter weekend 25th-28th March. All are close to stations on the Avocet Line.
