Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Stobart Air, has today (Friday) marked the beginning of its new route from Exeter to Belfast with the first flight due to depart at 12:10.

Beginning today, the airline will operate up to four weekly return flights from Exeter Airport to Belfast City Airport with fares starting from £34.99 one way including taxes.

79% of drivers aren’t calm when making a holiday car journey

Packing the car and setting off on holiday can be a chaotic experience for many UK holidaymakers, as a new survey of more than 1,000 UK drivers, by Toyota, shows that almost one in 10 (9 per cent) have had to turn back because they’ve forgotten something every time they’ve gone on holiday. A further 42 per cent admit they’ve sometimes had to turn back.

Younger drivers seem more likely to forget something, as 17 per cent of 25 to 34-year-old drivers said they’ve had to turn back every time, compared with only three per cent of the over-55s.

Direct airport coach service returns

As the British public venture further from home and demand for post-covid travel grows, a direct airport coach service from Plymouth has been added back onto the National Express network of scheduled coach services.

The 511 service from Plymouth to Heathrow airport will run once a day each way, seven days a week, via Exteter and Salisbury.

The route has been reintroduced as part of the UK’s largest coach operator’s return to the road after a three month suspension in response to covid-19.
