Rail services on the Okehampton Sunday Dartmoor Service will continue to operate with a revised schedule until further notice.

Track speed restrictions remain in place between Coleford Junction and Okehampton, which requires the amended timetable.

The Summer Sunday Services, run by Great Western Railway (GWR) and funded by Devon County Council, will also continue to start and terminate at Exeter St Davids rather than Exeter Central.

Councillor Andrea Davis, Devon County Council Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Development and Waste, said: “Partners delivering the service hope the line speed issue will be resolved as soon as possible to allow the timetable to return to normal.”

Councillor Kevin Ball, Devon County Councillor for Okehampton Rural, said: "Although it isn’t ideal having a slower service – GWR should be thanked for running the four trains with a modified schedule. Hopefully we can resume the normal service soon."

Departure times are similar to the usual service, but journeys are taking around 15 minutes longer.

GWR has confirmed that tickets will still be valid to Exeter Central on all connecting trains.
