Barcelona is the perfect spot to spend a weekend away with your best friends.

It is a must-visit destination for any female group looking for shopping, R&R, and nightlife fun to complement their adventure. Going on a girls' weekend in Barcelona is a fantastic idea!

Getting away to this magical place revives you and fills your mind with tales to tell.

A day at the beach as a vacation

Barcelona’s most popular beach, Barceloneta Beach, offers visitors the opportunity to take a break from sightseeing. Its enticing sands and lively atmosphere make it a popular place for recreation.

Tip: consider renting an apartment near the beach such as Lugaris: holiday apartments by the beach in Barcelona. This way, you'll enjoy Barcelona twice as much!

As the afternoon sun shines down on you, you are transformed into a bronzed goddess. Life could not be better than this. And a day at the beach costs nothing; you can afford to buy more important things, like drinks. What’s a girls’ weekend away like in Barcelona without buying some drinks on the beach?

For a more chilled experience, we recommend going further down the coast to the Bogatell and Nova Mar Bella beaches.

Why not take a break from lounging on the beach by sipping a drink at one of the beachside “chiringuitos”?

Stock up until you literally drop dead

Barcelona's low price tag makes it a top fashion destination. In comparison to other fashion-forward European cities like Paris, Milan and London, shopping in Barcelona is extremely affordable. Additionally, girls find value in the excitement of pursuing a new item. It would be insensitive to show up in Barcelona without visiting the city’s many stores.

Barcelona's Fifth Avenue is Passeig de Gràcia, the city's most exclusive shopping street. It's where you can find many top-of-the-line luxury brands— including Gucci, Michael Kors, Chanel and Hermès — as well as high-end shops. You can also find Zara, Mango and H&M on Passeig de Gràcia.

El Born also has a younger audience thanks to its assortment of boutique stores. It's also home to many shoe, clothing and beachwear retailers. After undergoing a period of restoration, this area became one of the most trendy and chic parts of Barcelona. You never know what new treasures you'll find in this area; it's full of surprises for sure.

Look around and notice everything around you

Barcelona has many beautiful tourist attractions and locations perfect for sightseeing with friends. These locations offer memories and amazing photographs, as well as the possibility of making new friends. Exploring these places together is a great way to experience the city's true ambiance.

Antoni Gaudí’s Park Güell is both a beautiful park and artistic creation. It’s located in Barcelona, the city’s most popular location for Modernisme. Take a lunch break in the park and admire its significance as a modern icon. The Gaudí House Museum is housed within the park. It showcases Gaudí’s famous mosaic style and the stunning view of the city from its location. The park also features many other attractions, such as an exhibit space dedicated to the architect’s work.

The National Museum of Art of Catalonia, called MNAC, has a great Gothic and Romanesque art collection. It’s located in a beautiful 1929 building that was built for the World’s Fair. Anyone can explore MNAC and learn about the region’s rich history. There's a lot to learn about when visiting Barcelona; the city's unique fusion of art styles is perfect for shared study at this museum! It can be accessed via the Espanya metro stop.

The Montjuïc Castle can be accessed by using the cable cars found at the top of the Paral·lel metro station. These cars can be accessed from Barcelona through a panoramic view— and when the sun sets, it's easy to see why this is breathtaking.

When exploring a new area, it’s important to take a break and refuel your batteries. This is best accomplished through some gelato and coffee stops along the way. Doing this not only refreshes you but also keeps you excited about your adventure at a low cost! Shops like this popup between metro stops and adjacent neighborhoods. Travelers will find one on their route to the next destination or just out of curiosity.
