There are so many great seaside towns to visit in the UK and Cornwall is host to some of them. Choosing to holiday near a UK beach can be a less expensive option that the whole family will enjoy! As Cornwall has a few towns within it, one of those towns may be better suited to you, based on what you enjoy doing while away, especially if you’re on a budget.

If you need some help in choosing where’s best for your cheap breaks in the beautiful county of Cornwall, this guide may help to pick the best and most cost-effective option for you!

Bude

This seaside town is in the north east region of Cornwall and is quite a remote spot, so it may be best if you want more of a relaxation holiday.

One thing you can do here is walk the coast path, as you’ll be able to see some of the most serene paths, with high cliffs and long sandy beaches to take in. It’s a great cost-effective way to see the town - instead you can treat yourself to a souvenir to remember an amazing holiday as you walk past the shops on the way.

As it’s a quieter location, why not use Bude as a romantic trip away? If you both love to walk, this could be an inexpensive way to enjoy each other’s company, while taking in the beautiful views of Bude!

Newquay Bay

If you want to travel to the north coast of Cornwall, here is the place for you – it’s one of the nation’s favourite UK seaside destinations, so there’s even more reason to visit!

It’s another laidback town and is known as the surfing capital of England! You could try surfing in the beautiful seas, as there are surf hires and a school available. Or, if that’s not for you, just sit back and enjoy watching from afar.

For an inexpensive day out with the family, you could prepare a picnic to take on a day out to the beach and share food you all love. This is a great way to have fun with your family, especially if there are children – they can enjoy making sandcastles on the beach!

St Ives Bay

This Bay lies on the Atlantic coast of north-west Cornwall and is especially known for its art, so if you’re a fan of art or want to get into it, this is the perfect place for you!

To learn more, it’s best to visit the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, and you’ll be glad to know that it won’t break the bank. Entry starts from around £6 and you can learn about not just the artist, but the town itself, so it’s well worth visiting!

Barbara Hepworth was an artist, specialising in sculptures, putting St Ives on the map – find out for yourself just how talented she was and how much she loved the town!

With so many ways to enjoy the different parts of Cornwall that won’t break the bank, which is the perfect the perfect place for you?
