The research team at University Hospitals Plymouth are asking for volunteers to take part in a new COVID-19 vaccine study, which will involve participants receiving a COVID-19 vaccination.

If you are aged over 30 and in relatively good health, and have yet to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, the research team would like to invite you to sign up to take part. Anyone who is interested should please email plh-tr.contactvaccinestudy@nhs.net for further information.

A vaccination clinic was held in Exeter Mosque this week as the NHS and public health partners in Devon continue working with local communities to increase take-up of the Covid vaccine.

Help fund lifesaving research programme for babies with diabetes

The University of Exeter’s world-leading diabetes research team has appealed for donations to continue a worldwide genetic testing programme which can dramatically improve lives for babies born with diabetes.

In the university’s first medical research crowd funder , the team is seeking to raise £100,000 to run the genetic testing programme for 500 children with neonatal diabetes, where diabetes is diagnosed in the first six months of life.
