Vaping is safer for your health, specifically to your lungs than smoking. Studies have found that you can ingest fewer carcinogens when you vape than when you smoke.

In a study conducted by Scott Goodrich, Joseph St. Laurent, and Dale Gieringer that was published in the Journal of Cannabis Therapeutic, they found that it is. They found that cannabis smokers tend to develop respiratory infections like bronchitis than cannabis vapers. 

The researches found that smoke has pyrolysis byproducts that cause the problem and not the cannabinoids content. The study also found that smoking cannabis spreads over 100 various compounds (toxins).

The smoker is more likely to breathe these toxic compounds. Vapers tend to inhale fewer carcinogens than smokers.

What Pros do vaping bring?

Does it mean that vaping is better when it comes to your health than smoking? Let’s look at some advantages:

  • You tend to have less yellowish skin.

When you smoke, the toxins reach your tissues that over time, you can develop a yellowish skin. It is very evident, especially to long-term smokers.

Vaping doesn’t cause you to inhale these toxins too much. You’re less likely to have yellow skin like smokers.

  • You’ll have no stained teeth.

When it comes to oral health, you have a better one. Smokers not only develop yellowish skin, but they also tend to have yellowish teeth over time.

If you have been smoking cannabis for a long time, it’s time to shift to vaping if you care about your health. However, researchers warn that you should watch out for the temperature when vaping.

Researchers from Leiden University’s Institute of Biology in the Netherlands found that the temperature used in vaping can impact the health of vapers. In the study, they studied a group of vapers who vaped at the temperatures of 338 degrees Fahrenheit, 393 degrees, and at 446 degrees.

They found that at temperatures 392 to 446 degrees, vapers inhaled fewer toxins. At 451 degrees Fahrenheit, close to combustion Cannabichromene or CBC is produced. At temperatures between 220 and 428 degrees Fahrenheit, tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) is released.

The study reported that it is safer to vape at temperatures higher than 392 degrees Fahrenheit to ingest fewer toxins. If you are a medical marijuana user, you should take note of this result.
