It’s no secret everyone is completely over this whole lockdown ordeal.

Everything is closed, except for the essentials, of course, and many miss the luxuries we once took for granted.

Let’s take the spa, for example. No matter how often you visited, you knew it was there when you needed it.

Tensions are high, and many have heightened stress levels dealing with COVID and the restrictions imposed—when you need the spa the most!

If you’re missing the spa during this overwhelming time, just bring the spa to your home. Follow along and find out how you can turn any room in your home into a five-star spa experience in six simple steps.

Step 1: Clean the Area

Have you noticed how hard it is to relax in a cluttered, messy area?

It’s a proven fact that it’s harder to focus and relax in this type of environment because your brain is distracted by all the surrounding stimuli.

With COVID concerns front in center in our lives, cleaning has become a priority these days. We encounter countless germs daily and pick them up and carry them with us—unknowingly.

This is all the more reason to break out the Clorox Wipes and get the house fresh and clean. Make sure to clear all the clutter, wipe down the countertops, doorknobs, and light switches. You want to disinfect anything you touch repeatedly throughout the day.

So, first thing’s first, clean the area to have an area you can relax in.

Step 2: Utilize Aromatherapy

Part of the appeal the spa provides is the dazzling aromatherapy scents flowing. You can light a few scented candles, use an essential oil air diffuser, or both if you’re feeling fancy.

Aromatherapy is known to promote physical and emotional health. Aromatherapy dates back to ancient times, long-praised for its ability to enhance mood, decrease stress, eliminate anxiety, and promote wellness in a general sense.

You can use essential oils in your bath (we’ll get to that later), or you mix it in body oil for a massage.

There's so much you can do with aromatherapy, don't be afraid to get creative.

Step 3: Set the Mood

You have to continue to set the ambiance after you’ve got your smells down, and music is the best way to do that. Whether you prefer relaxing meditation music or your go-to playlist, music can transform your mood.

It’s helpful to create a playlist just for this occasion so you can relax without having to search for songs you like.

Once you’ve got the tunes going, you can move on to the next step.

Step 4: Upgrade Your Bath

And now, for our favorite part, the upgraded bath experience.

Taking a long, hot bath is all you need to wind down and relax sometimes, but how about stepping it up a notch with a CBD bath bomb

CBD produces therapeutic benefits that reduce stress, anxiety, and any pain or discomfort in the body. We carry all kinds of tension in our bodies, so this is a great way to relax those tight muscles and make the most of your spa experience.

Some people like to use a little splash of Florida Water in the bath. It’s more of a metaphysical thing, but it’s believed that it wards off negativity and promotes good vibes.

Step 5: A Little Bubbly Never Hurts

Now that you’ve pretty much set the mood, it’s time to prepare a beverage. Now, we say a little bubbly never hurts, but cucumber-lime infused water is another excellent choice.

If you choose to go with champagne, you can have mimosas. This works exceptionally well if you have a few people participating in “spa day,” but the choice is ultimately yours.

Step 6: Exhale and Relax

The primary goal of setting up an at-home spa is to relax and let go of all the stress. So, once you have everything set, take a dip in your CBD bath, take a deep breath, and exhale.

Some people like to use this time to practice deep breathing and meditation. Immersing yourself in such a tranquil environment is the best way to focus on yourself and release all the negative, stagnant thoughts bogging you down.

Other CBD products integrate well into this part of the puzzle since it produces full-body relaxation for the mind and body.

Deep breathing is known to reduce stress, increase energy levels, reduce inflammation, helps you sleep better at night, and improves posture.

Final Thoughts

Lockdown won’t last forever, although it feels like it at times. In the meantime, you can keep your cool by creating a calming environment at home when you need it most.

Feel free to tweak this process in whatever way you want because self-care should focus on your needs.

Who knows, maybe you’ll create something so magical you wouldn’t want to leave the house anyway!
