A pancreatic cancer diagnosis can be a frightening and uncertain time. Each stage in a patient’s journey can throw up new questions and concerns and it can be difficult to provide support and information that meets an individual’s needs. That is why Pancreatic Cancer Action have updated and refreshed their patient information with the healthcare professionals and those directly affected by pancreatic cancer.

The new booklets contain the most up to date information available to help patients to understand pancreatic cancer, treatment options and the experience of the disease. The information discusses every aspect of living with pancreatic cancer, from dealing with side effects and symptom management, to the emotional impact and planning ahead, whether that’s for recovery or end of life care.

All of Pancreatic Cancer Action’s health information is accredited by the Patient Information Forum, a mark that demonstrates high quality information that you can trust.

Rebecca Rice, Health and Policy Manager at Pancreatic Cancer Action says, “Our resources are available online and as printed booklets that are always free to order with no limit on order numbers. We know that everyone is affected by pancreatic cancer differently and no two stories are the same. Therefore, we have designed our information to support patients through their journey and whatever stage you encounter them.”

The following information is available online or in print;

- What is pancreatic cancer?
- Surgery for operable pancreatic cancer
- Controlling the symptoms of pancreatic cancer
- Chemotherapy treatment for pancreatic cancer
- Diet and nutrition for pancreatic cancer patients
- Supportive and end of life care for pancreatic cancer
