It’s been one hell of a year, and the effects of all the upheaval of what has been a very stressful time for all of us will have taken its toll on everyone. While the bigger issues of 2020 clearly need bigger solutions there are some things that all of us could consider as ways to combat the effects on ourselves.

This is not by any means a complete list, and certainly not medical advice, but a few pointers in the direction of a few solutions that could take the edge off of what could easily be the worst year for a generation.

#1 Exercise

For a lot of people, exercise means going to the gym or taking part in a team sport. Unfortunately in 2020 both of these were not options. Many areas had total gym closures that may go well into 2021 and team sport was also off the board.

This didn’t mean that we all had to stay rooted to the sofa. There was a deluge of indoor exercise videos made, many of which are still available to view on YouTube. If this wasn’t for you, there is always the prospect of a walk outside where social distancing can be easy to manage.

Don’t worry about taking the same old route every day though, changing the music you listens to, or plugging into an audiobook can add variety to each walk

#2 Reduce Caffeine

Sorry about this one, but if you’re already on edge, eight cups of coffee a day isn’t going to help. This is also true for energy drinks, chocolate, and to a lesser extent tea. The good news is that in smaller amounts these can all help your mood and feeling of wellbeing.

The threshold can be different for everyone, so a bit of experimentation might be in order – something that I’m sure we’re all OK with?

#3 CBD Oil products

In recent years, more and more people have turned to CBD Oil and its products as a solution to the stresses and anxieties of modern life. 2020 has increased these stresses exponentially and demand has increased as a result.

However, there are still many myths in circulation about the properties and legality of using this remedy for stress. You can all get the facts about CBD Oil and what it can do at platinumcbduk.com

#4 Laugh

As many hypnotherapists will tell you, it’s hard to feel anxious when you’re laughing (that’s genuine laughing of course, not the nervous sort). Not only does laughing reduce stress it also acts as a muscle relaxant, which can aid with nervous tensions.

In the longer term, laughter helps your overall mood and can (very importantly for 2020) boost your immune system). We all find different things funny, so whatever your taste, go and experience more of it.

So there you have it, four simple solutions to take the edges off the stresses of a vet trying time. Hopefully one (or a combination of all four) will do the trick for you.
